Shravya Shenoy

Astronomy PhD Student @ University of Hertfordshire

Welcome to my webpage! I am a PhD student at the Centre for Astrophysics Research (CAR), based at the University of Hertfordshire. My research focuses on understanding the evolution of local galaxies with LOFAR radio observations. In this context, I use a combination of machine-learning algorithms and large datasets of observations from multiwavelength surveys to explore star-forming galaxies. My primary supervisor is Prof. Dan Smith and my PhD is funded by the UKRI STFC.

Before moving to the UK, I completed my MSc in Astronomy Research (cum laude) at Leiden University in the Netherlands. I worked with Prof. Mariska Kriek on exploring the mass-SFR-metallicity-size relation of star-forming galaxies from the MOSDEF Survey. I also worked as a Support Astronomer at the Isaac Newton Telescope in La Palma in 2024.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions about my work or reach out if you'd like to collaborate!
